Plotting Points
- Coordinates show the position of a point on a graph
- Coordinates are written using two numbers inside brackets separated by a comma
- The first number represents the x coordinate and tells us how far to move along the x axis
- The second number represents the y coordinate and tells us how far to move up the y axis
- The point where the x and y axes cross is called the origin, with coordinates 0, 0
- To plot a point, move the specified number of units along the x axis and up the y axis
- The coordinates of a point can be determined by identifying how far the point is along the x axis and up the y axis
