Parallel Vectors
- Vectors that are scalar multiples of each other are represented as parallel lines
- Scalar multiples are normal numbers that multiply a vector
- Dividing a vector by a positive number creates a new vector with half the length but same direction
- Multiplying a vector by a positive number creates a new vector with twice the length but same direction
- Vectors that point in opposite directions are also parallel
- Multiplying a vector by a negative number creates a new vector with same length but opposite direction
- Scalar multiples of the same vector will be parallel to each other, traveling in either the same or opposite directions
- Ability to sketch these vectors is necessary
