- Strength: tailored to research aims.
- Weakness: expensive, time-consuming, requires access and skills.
Secondary data: collected by others such as official statistics, media, diaries.
- Strength: cheap, quick, often large-scale.
- Weakness: may not fit research needs, can be biased or socially constructed.
