Montano

Before Othello arrived to command, Montano was Governor of Cyprus. He provides information that the Turkish fleet have being demolished by storms in his first appearance in Act 2. He also engages in a fight with Cassio. Yet, he does not give Cassio’s name to Othello, despite being wounded by Cassio in the brawl.
