Natural hazard: a severe event that can significantly harm individuals, property, and the surrounding environment. Types of natural hazards include:
- Geographical hazards: caused by rocks and tectonic plate movement. Examples include tsunamis, earthquakes, volcanoes, and landslides.
- Meteorological hazards: extreme weather conditions. Examples include: tornadoes, droughts, floods, and heat waves.
